Don’t know much about this group, I actually just bumped into this song yesterday and it’s already an instant classic to me. If you got a system that can hum play this track because it’ll have your head noddin the whole time. The beat reminds me of 36 Chambers Wu-tang
Not your typical rap song. The imagery used in this song is so intense that you can actually picture the story as Nas tells it. This is by no doubt one of my favorite songs because of his literary genius embedded in this song.
Tony Billz produces yet another reference video…this time, with a Drake and Nipsey Hu$$le collaboration. Not only does he create dope visuals to add to ‘Killer’, but also notice his original artistic interpretation of the song. We were informed that this will be his last cover video produced, so enjoy!” -2dopeboyz
I thought I might connect to you guys on a deeper level, a side which I have not yet shown on this blog. Immortal Technique’s song “You Never Know” is a song that always sends chills down my spine. The message behind this song should be the credo to human life. However, that belief in life and love has vanished. We have grown to be this apathetic society that has forgotten the importance of an emotional connection. We have grown to be this selfish, materialistic, society to which non-Americans are disgusted by. This where Immortal Technique comes in and sheds light upon this topic, emphasizing the importance of a personal connection between someone, letting it blossom, and then cherishing it to its fullest extent. At the end, he shows that there is something more painful than the wound of a bullet.
Although the whole song is great. The lyrics that stick out the most to me are:
“Hold the person that you love closely if they’re next to you
The one you love, not the person that’ll simply have sex with you
Appreciate them to the fullest extent, and then beyond
Cause you never really know what you got, until it’s gone”
If he’s not my first post, then he definitely has to be my second: Tupac Amaru Shakur My favorite artist of all time, not just hip-hop but covering all genres of music. I can always listen to Pac to lift my spirits and give me that warrior mentality. His voice, his attitude, his swag, his “I don’t give a Fuck” mentality, his lyrics, his concern for the different minority communities, his tattoos, his ability to express himself outside of music Tupac represents what being yourself is all about. Sometimes people forget that Tupac died (R.I.P) when he was only 25 years and yet he made so many meaningful and unforgettable songs which has always inspired me.
I remember hearing this song a while ago and could not figure out what the name was. Thank god for Shazzam nowadays. Anyways, I am on a Kid Cudi binge right now. I’ll try to stop, but he is too damn good. This song is sick.
I came across R.E.U.B today as I was browsing through youtube. He is pretty sick, but ill let you guys be the judge of that. Check his page out at http://www.reubmuzik.com.
First off, I would like to apologize for not updating The Joint of the Day section for a while. Everything has been hectic with school starting up again. This blog will soon be undergoing a transformation if all goals and plans fall into place. Other than that, I will try to update The Joint of the Day on a daily basis.
Secondly, light that joint up and kick back to this song. Perfect song to be smoking to. I remember my friend telling me what song the beat is from, but I forgot. All I know is that it is a song from the early 80’s.
So Flo Rida is mediocre in my eyes, but damn, his beats are always fire. The Chorus in this song, Tanu, and the beat are what helped this song get a post.
Although I think the beat on this song needs work. A start would be by removing the annoying sound, which I do not the technical term for. However, the Dirty Money part and the last verse by Eye2Eye are sick.
We live in a diverse world where each and every single one of us has different taste in every aspect. I understand this, and that is why I am bringing on new authors to the iscreamhiphop blog. I have hired my friend, AKA Hotzauze, to help in the genres I lack in, and that he listens to. I am trying to fill every genre in hiphop and rap, so give it time and this blog will be filled with updates from every single corner of the hiphop/rap world.
We keep hearing T-Pain featured on songs, but now he has finally come out with a hot R&B song. Check it out, its been a while since I have posted a R&B song on this site. The song cuts off towards the end, but I am going to try to find a better version. Enjoy!
